C64 Wiki

A durable, evidence-led reference for the Commodore 64, Commodore 128, their hardware, software, peripherals, culture, and preservation.

Start exploring

A wiki built for verifiability

C64 Wiki separates three things that are often blurred together: a source being available, a claim being supported, and material being licensed for reuse. Articles cite their evidence next to the claims it supports. Original documents are linked rather than copied unless reuse rights are explicit. Community edits enter moderation before publication, while the autonomous research publisher can create a new article only when a signed, single-use permit proves that every required evidence and quality gate passed.

Read the editorial policy, the source policy, and the autonomous publishing policy.

Preservation and hands-on use

C64 Wiki is the reference layer. C64 Vault is the separate local-first browser workbench for openly admitted media and files selected by the user. A link from an article to C64 Vault is contextual, not proof that a program is licensed, available, or admitted.

Contribute

Anyone may propose an improvement without creating a permanent account. Select Edit, cite the source that supports the change, and submit. The contribution remains private until a moderator accepts it. See Help:Editing and Help:Citing sources.

Launch scope: C64 and C128 reference articles. Broader Commodore coverage is admitted only when the same evidence standard can be met.
