About C64 Wiki

C64 Wiki is an independent, community-editable reference about the Commodore 64 and Commodore 128. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Commodore, any current trademark owner, Wikipedia, the Wikimedia Foundation, or the owners of software discussed in its articles.

The site has three long-term goals. It explains the machines and their ecosystem in clear original prose. It makes every material factual claim traceable to a source. It connects reference knowledge to lawful hands-on preservation tools without treating availability as permission to redistribute a work.

Relationship to C64 Vault

C64 Vault is a separate local-first browser workbench. C64 Wiki may link to an admitted C64 Vault item when that link materially helps a reader. The wiki does not automatically publish a Vault item, and the Vault does not automatically admit material merely because the wiki describes it.

Governance

Community submissions enter a moderation queue. Autonomous research can create a new article only through the signed permit system described at C64 Wiki:Autonomous publishing. Existing articles are never overwritten automatically. Human contributors can challenge sources, correct claims, and add better evidence through the normal edit workflow.

Use the discussion page attached to an article for content questions. Use C64 Wiki:Copyrights for copyright or licensing concerns. Do not place private personal information in a public edit.
